WHO WE ARE

The law firm MATADI & ASSOCIATES, abbreviated as M & A, was established in 1982 on the initiative of Maître MATADI NENGA GAMANDA, then a lawyer at the Kinshasa Court of Appeal. He had previously spent 7 years working (since January 22, 1975) at the LOKWA-MUKENDI Law Firm.

The law firm successively had its headquarters in the Gombe commune, city of Kinshasa, in the Bonanza building, School Avenue, Residence Nathalie, opposite the Golf field, 30th June Boulevard, the building of the Franco-Congolese Chamber of Commerce, 3Z Avenue (King Baudouin Avenue), and villa no. 158B on Avenue du Livre.

After much effort, the law firm acquired its own building, half of the 1st floor of the Shabani concession, 74/76 Huileries Avenue.

The firm is bilingual (French and English) and currently comprises 12 lawyers, 8 of whom are full-time and 4 on temporary leave, either for post-university studies abroad or for certain roles in a specialized UN agency (UNICEF). Of the 12, 6 are women.
